So You Want To Be a Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI)?

Target Audience: Deaf people interested in becoming CDI.  Interpretation is not provided for these sessions.

.8 (1 training workshop) or 1.6 (if both training workshops)

ACDHH is an Approved RID CMP Sponsor for Continuing Education Activities.  This workshop offers .8 CEU.

More Information about the CPC and CDI Workshop

More information:

* CPC = Code of Professional Conduct 8 hours
* CDI = Certified Deaf Interpreter 8 hours

*You can attend one (CPC) or the other (CDI) or both workshops

*To meet requirements for taking RID-CDI written test you must have 8 hours in CDI and 8 hours in CPC for total of 16 hours.

*You must attend each workshop in its entirety to earn CEUs

*No membership requirement

*Debbie Peterson MA CDI is presenting the CDI workshop

*7 Locals will present the CPC workshop (1 tenet each 30 min)

*All workshops will take place at ACDHH 100 N 15th Ave PHX, AZ

*ACDHH moved! Be sure you know where you are going!

*Training begins at 10:00 am sharp

*Training ends at 3:00 pm sharp

*Lunch break is 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm

*All handouts will be downloadable (to be green)

*There will be some activities after training (study groups, Q/A)

*More information about extra activities TBA

*Extra activity/ies is optional and do NOT count toward CEUs (more information coming)

*Written and performance test will be your responsibilities

*You should have So You Want To Be An Interpreter textbook

*Doesnt matter which edition 3rd or 4th
